What's Happening in Palos Heights

Early Voting will be held at the Palos Heights City Hall as follows: Mon - Sat, Oct. 20 - 25, 9 am to 5 pm, Mon - Fri, Oct 27 - 31, 9 am to 7 pm, Sat, Nov. 1, 9 am to 5 pm.

October Events sponsored by State Representative Fran Hurley and State Senator Bill Cunningham include: Women's Expo on 10/24/14, and a CMS Training Workshop on 10/29/14. Click here for details on all events.

Sports Mural Competition: The Public Arts Commission is seeking entries from amateur to professional artists and designers for an athletic-themed mural. Deadline for submissions is December 31. Click here for details and application.

Holiday Tree Decorating Contest: Palos Heights organizations, schools, churches, and families are invited to participate in the City's Annual Holiday Tree Decorating Contest. There is no fee to enter. The trees will be on display in the Art Garden throughout the holiday season. Winners of the contest will be announced at the Annual Tree Lighting Event on Friday, December 5 at 6:30 pm. Click here for an application and guidelines.

Recent News
Chipper Service Ends Last Week of October. Please have all your branches ready for pick-up on Monday, Oct. 27, 7:00 a.m. This will be the FINAL week that the chipper trucks make their rounds through all neighborhoods. The trucks will be converted to snow plows the first week of November.
Applications are now available for the City's 50/50 Parkway Tree Program scheduled for this fall. Click on the above link for an application and description of trees.
