ALERT: Thefts from Vehicles Reported (06/06/17) - Within the past several weeks, multiple incidents involving thefts from vehicles have been reported. Multiple areas of town have been affected, but the area east of Ridgeland Ave between Route 83 and 127th Street has recently had the highest concentration of thefts. No victim windows have been broken and no signs of forced entry have been observed in the recent incidents. Residents in all areas are asked to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity. Most importantly, residents are asked to lock doors and windows of vehicles and residences. Taking simple steps to secure your property can go a long way in preventing theft. Often times, these types of crimes are deterred simply by locking doors, securing windows, and removing items of value from vehicles.
