Saturday, November 26, 2022 throughout Palos Heights

Support small businesses in Palos Heights and save! Shop at participating area merchants on November 26 and throughout the holiday season and ask about special promotions.

  1. Holiday parade on harlem

DECEMBER 3 AT 10:45 AM

Parade will being at 10:45am at 126th & Harlem and end at College Drive.

This will be a festive day in town with the Kris Kringle Market taking place at the municipal lot from noon - 7pm.

Please note that Harlem Ave will be closed from 127th through College Drive from 10:30am - noon.

  1. Tree Decorating Contest

It’s that time of year again to sign up for the City’s Annual Holiday Tree Decorating Contest. There is no fee to enter the contest and trees will be provided by the City. The trees will be displayed in COMMUNITY PARK – near the gazebo across from City Hall - through the holiday season.

Celebrate the season with the Palos Heights Public Library. Activities will occur throughout the day. 

  1. Santa's Holiday Adventure

Friday, December 9, 2022 — 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W 127th Street

“I passed through the seven levels of the candy cane forest through the sea of swirly-twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel!” Come join the Palos Heights Parks and Recreation Department to enjoy a movie night with Santa. Come wearing your comfy, cozy pajamas to help us celebrate the most magical time of the year! We will have noodles, candy, hot chocolate, and a visit from santa all while enjoying the movie ELF!

Tickets are $40 ($30 resident discounted price) and $15 for each additional child. Event for ages 1-10 with parent.

Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W. 127th Street

Come join us in a day of holiday fun at our very own Santa’s Workshop! You and your family will not want to miss out on the new exciting event! There will be cookie decorating, writing letters to Santa, and much more! We will have holiday entertainment in the gym along with our Winter Indoor Market and let’s not forget about SANTA! Sant will be in attendance from 10am-12pm. Help the Parks and Recreation Center spread the holiday cheer!

  1. Noon Year's Eve

December 30, 2022 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W. 127th Street

Ring in the New Year at noon instead of midnight! The gym will be transformed into a miniature Times Square with music and a "countdown to noon" balloon drop. Tickets are $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents.
